    Library to host author reading, dog adoption event

    – The Paso Robles City Library will host an author reading and dog adoption event on Saturday, Aug. 17.

    Teresa Rhyne, a New York Times bestselling author, will present her pet memoirs, including “The Dog Lived (And So Will I),” “The Dog Was Rescued (And So Was I),” and “Poppy in the Wild.” Rhyne, a lawyer and dedicated animal rights activist, is known for her love of dogs. She practices estate planning and trust administration in Riverside and Paso Robles.

    The author reading will take place from 10 a.m. to noon, followed by a dog adoption event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The adoption event will feature Novy’s Ark and Meade Canine Rescue.

    The event will be held at the Paso Robles City Library, and registration for the author reading is required. Registration for the author reading is open from July 17 to Aug. 16.
