Heat advisory in effect for Paso Robles today
Temperatures could get as hot as 109 in Paso Robles
– A heat advisory remains in effect from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today for North County, issued by the National Weather Service. Temperatures are expected to range from 98 to 103 degrees, with temperatures reaching up to 109 degrees in Paso Robles.
The advisory warns of a high risk for heat illness, particularly for sensitive populations, including young children, the elderly, those without air conditioning, and individuals who are active outdoors.
Residents are advised to drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioned rooms, avoid direct sunlight, and check on relatives and neighbors. Those who must be outdoors are encouraged to wear lightweight and loose-fitting clothing, limit strenuous activities to the early morning or evening, and be aware of the symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
