Long-time Atascadero residents invited to Colony Days Reception Tea

Event to be held Sept. 29

    – Long-time residents of Atascadero who have lived in the city for at least 40 years and are aged 55 and above are invited to the 46th annual Colony Days Reception Tea on Sept. 29. The event, organized by Quota of Atascadero, will feature the newly appointed Colony Days Royalty and a ceremonial transition of regalia from the outgoing royalty to their successors.

Residents interested in attending must secure reservations in advance by contacting Myrna Wood at (805) 460-6129 or by emailing mybizzwood@gmail.com.

Participants can look forward to an afternoon of reconnecting with old acquaintances, sharing memories, enjoying homemade delicacies, and engaging in traditional entertainment.

The Colony Tea was conceived by the late Edith Hessick, who initiated the event in 1977 during her tenure as president of Quota of Atascadero. Quota is a voluntary service organization that aims to make a positive impact by addressing various community needs, with members dedicated to helping others while enjoying their collaborative efforts.
