Crews contain quarter-acre fire near Paso Robles airport
Fire burned several outbuildings
– Firefighters responded to a quarter-acre fire that burned several outbuildings near Paso Robles Municipal Airport on Monday afternoon, according to Cal Fire.
The fire began around 4:20 p.m. in the 5100 block of Jardine Road, according to reports. At least nine firefighting units from Cal Fire San Luis Obispo and two from Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services were dispatched to the scene.
At 4:48 p.m., Cal Fire announced on the social media platform X that the fire’s forward progress had been stopped at about a quarter of an acre. Units were expected to remain on mop-up for another hour, according to Cal Fire.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown and under investigation.
