Paso Robles-based indoor vertical farming company begins shipping products

    – Zeste Farms, a company based in Paso Robles, has begun shipping its products to Pavilions, a supermarket division of Albertson’s Companies, Inc., according to the latest edition of the City of Paso Robles Economic Development Newsletter. This marks Zeste Farms’ second partnership with a Fortune 500 company, following their existing relationship with Whole Foods.

In December, Zeste Farms’ produce was recertified as non-GMO, and in May, the company achieved 100% food safety certification from the USDA. The company uses a proprietary indoor vertical farming system that is highly efficient and scalable. This system uses 90% less water, no pesticides, has no exposure to animal contaminants, and requires 75% less fertilizer compared to traditional farming methods.

More information about Zeste Farms can be found here.
