– Wine Lovers Travel, Inc. has unveiled its latest travel offering for 2025, “Gourmet Delights of Northern Spain,” a culinary and cultural tour hosted by Debbie Thomas, founder of Thomas Hill Organics in Paso Robles. This tour is scheduled from Oct. 10-19, 2025.
Participants will begin their journey in Madrid, staying at Hotel Villa Real. The itinerary includes a welcome dinner at Posada de la Villa, private market tours, and a masterclass on Spanish wines with a local sommelier. The tour will also feature visits to wineries in Rioja, including a full-day pairing experience at Marques de Murrieta and a Michelin-starred lunch at Venta Moncalvillo.
The group will then travel to Bilbao, where they will explore the Guggenheim Museum and the Old Quarter before heading to San Sebastian. In San Sebastian, participants will stay at Hotel de Londres y de Inglaterra and enjoy activities such as Pintxos tours and private visits to local Gastronomic Societies. The trip also includes a day exploring the French Basque Region and the Basque Coast’s wine and cheese producers.
The tour is limited to 14 guests, ensuring an intimate and personalized experience. Debbie Thomas has curated every detail.
