SLO County tech and remote workers invited to free mixer
Albert’s List hosts free mixer at local restaurant
– Albert’s List, an organization dedicated to helping professionals acquire job search and entrepreneurial skills, is hosting a free networking mixer for remote workers, technology professionals, and aspiring industry entrants. The event will be held on Sept. 25 at Aliyah’s Kitchen Seafood and Grill in Paso Robles.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their LinkedIn QR codes and business cards to network, socialize, and connect with members of the community.
“The Central Coast is located between two major business centers in the Bay Area and Los Angeles, with many employees working remotely or hybrid from here,” said Albert Qian, founder of Albert’s List. “I noticed many of them were on LinkedIn and wanted to create an event that gives this community a chance to connect in person.”
While some of the workforce has returned to the office after the pandemic, many still work remotely as companies embrace web conferencing technology, forgoing the cost of renting full-time commercial office space. As a result, many Silicon Valley and Southern California professionals have relocated to the Central Coast for a more relaxed and peaceful lifestyle.
“We believe that remote work improves mental health and promotes work-life balance,” Qian said. “Since the pandemic, we’ve expanded our offering of virtual events that attendees can join from anywhere while continuing our in-person programming. Getting away from your screen will do you some good!”
Those interested in attending the event can sign up here. For more information on Albert’s List events, visit the Albert’s List event calendar here.
