Dinner will take place on Oct. 2, and reservations are required by 6 p.m. on the Monday prior to the event
– The Estrella Warbirds Museum has announced that Dylan Krassensky, Air Traffic Manager at the San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport control tower, will be the guest speaker at their monthly dinner on Wednesday, Oct. 2.
Krassensky, who began his career in Air Traffic Control in 2006, has experience working at multiple locations across California, Nevada, Texas, and Alaska. He is recognized for his “Tips From The Tower” and his online training guide, Air Traffic Control (ATC) for Simulator Pilots. In addition to his role in air traffic management, Krassensky is also a pilot.
Krassensky noted that nearly all pilots at the San Luis Obispo Airport rely on the expertise of the control tower for guidance during takeoff, landing, and other situations. He emphasized that air traffic controllers are there to assist pilots, not intimidate them, and encouraged pilots to reach out whenever they need assistance. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear an insider’s view from the tower and ask questions.
The catered dinner will take place on Oct. 2, and reservations are required by 6 p.m. on the Monday prior to the event to allow sufficient notice for the caterer. The cost is $25 per person, and reservations can be made online at Estrella Warbirds Museum Reservations or by calling (805) 296-1935. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with a no-host bar, and dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m.
The Estrella Warbirds Museum is located at 4251 Dry Creek Road in Paso Robles. The museum is open Thursday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For information on Monday holiday hours or general admission, visit Estrella Warbirds Museum.
