Vina Robles brand acquired by new owners

Purchase includes the trademark “Vina Robles,” wine inventory, barrels, and intellectual property.
Acquisition does not include vineyards, winery, or amphitheatre
– Courtney Benham, owner of the CMB Family of Wines, recently announced the acquisition of the Vina Robles Vineyards and Winery brand, according to a report by Wine Business. The purchase includes the trademark “Vina Robles,” wine inventory, barrels, and intellectual property.
Vina Robles was founded in the late 1990s by Swiss entrepreneur Hans Nef. With this acquisition, Benham enters the Paso Robles American Viticultural Area (AVA) for the first time, expanding his portfolio of premium California wines.
Benham and his team are based in the Russian River Valley on the Laguna Ridge at one of the oldest continually working wineries in California. He crafts wines under the Martin Ray, Angeline, Synthesis, Foppiano, and Courtney Benham labels. This diverse portfolio allows those seeking a unique experience to explore some of the most revered appellations in California.
The winemaking will continue under current winemaker Kevin Willenborg, with grapes sourced from Vina Robles’ 850-acre estate vineyard.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Vina Robles into the fold,” Benham said. “Their dedication to quality and sustainability is a perfect fit for our family of brands. We’re excited to introduce this incredible brand to a broader audience and share its story.”
The acquisition does not include the estate vineyards, winery, or the Vina Robles Amphitheatre.
