Oriole Basin restoration improves stormwater management
– The City of Paso Robles stormwater, streets, and wastewater divisions have collaborated to clean and restore the designed flow in the Oriole Basin, according to a recent social media post by the city.
Maintenance activities included dewatering, sediment removal, and final cleanup, resulting in approximately 30,000 gallons of nuisance water being pumped out and 15 cubic yards of accumulated sediment being removed.
The basin now functions better, reducing the risk of flooding and ensuring proper stormwater management:
