Firestone Walker Brewing debuts first non-alcoholic beer
– Firestone Walker Brewing Company, the brewer behind 805 Beer, California’s top craft beer brand, has introduced its first non-alcoholic offering: 8ZERO5. The new non-alcoholic blonde ale, available as of Sept. 30, delivers the same flavor and easy-drinking experience that fans of 805 Beer have enjoyed for more than a decade, with less than 0.5% ABV and only 60 calories.
8ZERO5 complements the 805 Beer lineup, which includes the 805 Blonde Ale and 805 Cerveza, and is aimed at those seeking a flavorful beer without alcohol. “We believe that just because a beer is non-alcoholic, it doesn’t mean it should be any less satisfying,” said Dustin Hinz, chief marketing officer for Firestone Walker Brewing Company. “When the moment calls for zero limits, drinkers can now reach for an 8ZERO5.”
8ZERO5 is the first non-alcoholic release from Firestone Walker, crafted under the direction of brewmaster Matt Brynildson. After more than two years of development, the goal was to replicate the appeal of the original 805 Blonde Ale as closely as possible in a non-alcoholic form. “We’ve got something here that can compete with anything in the non-alcoholic space, and I’m pretty stoked about it,” Brynildson said.
The 8ZERO5 release is part of Firestone Walker’s latest marketing campaign, which features notable athletes and brand ambassadors such as World Surf League pro surfer Lakey Peterson and nine-time X-Games champion Tyler Bereman. The campaign aims to highlight the versatility of 8ZERO5 for consumers seeking non-alcoholic options.
