Highway 46 crash shuts down lane for medical helicopter
– A motorcyclist was injured in a crash involving an SUV on Highway 46 near the Shandon Rest Area on Friday afternoon, according to a social media post by Cal Fire San Luis Obispo.
The collision occurred shortly after 3 p.m. in the westbound lanes. Authorities reported that the motorcyclist suffered moderate injuries.
The westbound lane of traffic was shut down to allow a helicopter to land and transport the motorcyclist to the hospital.
