Many organizations continue to embrace remote work, citing flexibility, access to greater talent, increased employee morale– Albert’s List, an organization dedicated to helping professionals acquire job search and entrepreneurial skills is holding its second free networking mixer for remote workers, technology professionals, and aspiring entrants to the industry at Aliyah’s Kitchen Seafood and Grill next Wednesday, Oct. 16. Attendees are encouraged to bring their LinkedIn QR codes and business cards to network, socialize, and connect with members of the community.
“We had a great showing for our first event last month with more than 20 attendees, including software engineers and startup investors, and business owners,” said Albert Qian, founder of Albert’s List. “Anyone who works in tech or remotely is encouraged to attend and we are looking forward to building a community here.”

Larger companies like Amazon recently returned to a five-day in-office requirement, but smaller organizations continue to embrace remote work, citing flexibility, access to greater talent, and increased employee morale. Many of these professionals work, live, and play on the Central Coast, where Paso Robles’ commitment to building a spaceport, technology in agriculture, and Cal Poly’s startup scene provide seeds for potential growth.
“I know there are innovative minds here on the Central Coast looking to meet others,” adds Qian. “If we can build our wine reputation into one that rivals Napa, then anything is possible. There is no reason why the next major software company or social network can’t be built here.”
