Charges relate to an incident on Oct. 14 at the defendant’s parents’ residence in Arroyo Grand
– San Luis Obispo County District Attorney Dan Dow announced that criminal charges have been filed against Alan Fonseca Osio for the murder of his father and the attempted murder of his mother. Osio is also charged with arson and assaulting a police animal. The charges include an allegation that Osio was convicted in 2019 of a serious or violent “strike” offense.
The DA’s office stated that the charges relate to an incident on Oct. 14 at the defendant’s parents’ residence in Arroyo Grande. Osio, 29, faces counts of murder, attempted murder, arson, and assaulting a police animal.
The defendant is scheduled for arraignment in Department 3 of the Superior Court of San Luis Obispo County on Thursday, Oct. 17, at 8:30 a.m.
A criminal complaint contains charges that must be proven in court beyond a reasonable doubt. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty by plea, jury, or judge conviction.
