Installation will remain in place for 18 months

Dale Evers Art Studio installed two sculptures this week at the corners of 12th and Park streets in downtown Paso Robles. The sculptures, titled Focus and Wings of Legend, were set up on pedestals provided by Paso Robles Welding.

Focus is an 8-foot-tall sculpture mounted on a 4-foot pedestal. Wings of Legend is based on a Paul Reed Smith guitar and serves as a tribute to Carlos Santana. The piece was originally created for the House of Blues in Las Vegas over 10 years ago and has since been on display at Sculpterra Winery, where the artist, Dale Evers, is the artist in residence.Artist Dale Evers installs new sculptures in downtown Paso Robles

Paso Robles Welding donated the pedestals for the sculptures, and John Wright contributed crane services for the installation. Evers expressed gratitude to the City of Paso Robles for supporting the project.

The installation will remain in place for 18 months. Evers dedicated the sculptures to his late friend Rejon Begin, the former manager at PRW Steel in Paso Robles. The pedestals bear an inscription reading, “In memory of Rejon Begin.” Evers shared that Begin was a fan of the Focus sculpture, expressing his admiration on multiple occasions.
