    – The Paso Robles Police Officers’ Association has endorsed Councilwoman Sharon Roden for the remaining two-year term on the Paso Robles City Council, representing District 1.

Brett Lowe, president of the Paso Robles Police Officers’ Association, announced the endorsement in a letter. “Our association, made up of over 40 dedicated police officers and dispatchers, has great confidence in [Sharon’s] leadership and vision for the future of Paso Robles,” Lowe said. “Since stepping in to fill the void left by Mayor Martin’s passing, we’ve admired [Sharon’s] ‘roll up your sleeves’ attitude in addressing the city’s challenges. We also appreciate [her] collaborative spirit and the positive relationships she has built with fellow council members.”

Lowe also stated that the association believes the city council thrives on mutual respect, cooperation, and stability, and expressed confidence that Roden would continue to provide that stability.

Roden has lived in Paso Robles for more than 45 years. After graduating from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a degree in agricultural management, she began her career in her family business, growing pistachios in local orchards. She has run the family farm for several decades and has held leadership roles in advocacy organizations that support the local agricultural industry.

Roden has received endorsements from various local officials, including Supervisor John Peschong, Paso Robles Mayor John Hamon, San Luis Obispo County Superintendent of Schools James Brescia, Paso Robles Joint Unified School District Trustee Kenney Enney, and former Assemblyman Jordan Cunningham.

Roden was appointed to the District 1 seat after Hamon was appointed mayor in September of last year. She is now running to serve the remaining two years of the term.
