Unlicensed ‘healing practitioner’ in Paso Robles facing sexual assault charges

Man has treated numerous adult women and potentially underage female minors in his home, police say
– On Thursday, Paso Robles Police Department officers received a report from a woman alleging she was sexually assaulted by an adult male, identified as David Cruz Padilla, 59, of Paso Robles. The incident reportedly occurred inside Padilla’s residence in the 400 block of Oak Hill Road, Paso Robles.
The Paso Robles Detective Bureau assumed control of the investigation and discovered that Padilla is known as a “healing practitioner” who claims to use various methods to alleviate pain from injuries, though he lacks formal medical training. During the investigation, detectives learned that Padilla had treated numerous adult women and potentially underage female minors in his home. Evidence also suggested that similar incidents involving other women may have gone unreported.
Padilla was subsequently arrested and booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail on multiple felony charges.
The Paso Robles Police Department is encouraging anyone who may have been a victim of sexual assault involving Padilla to come forward and contact the detective bureau.
