Lodge to provide holiday meals, toys on Christmas Day
– The Paso Robles Moose Lodge #243 has launched its 2024 Holiday Give Back Campaign to support local organizations and residents in need during the holiday season.
The campaign will culminate on Christmas Day with the third annual Ricky Bittle Memorial Day of Giving, an event offering essential services and gifts to the community.
As part of the campaign, the lodge has already completed several efforts. A membership food drive collected 160 pounds of non-perishable food, which was donated to Loaves & Fishes. Additionally, full Thanksgiving meals were delivered to members of the local homeless community and service workers.
Through partnerships with Toys for Tots, Coats for Kids, and local social services via an Angel Tree initiative, the lodge also provided holiday gifts for 20 children.
The Ricky Bittle Memorial Day of Giving, a holiday tradition now in its third year, will take place on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, at 11 a.m. at 635 28th Street in Paso Robles. The event is open to anyone in need and will include free hot holiday meals to go, toiletry bag care packages, and new toys for children.
The Paso Robles Moose Lodge #243 has served the community for 44 years as a family-oriented fraternity that focuses on fellowship and charitable giving. The lodge provides a social space for its members and supports local nonprofits as well as Moose International initiatives.
