– The Journals 805, a father-and-son musical duo from Paso Robles, announced their December performance schedule and extended thanks to local wineries and venues for their support in 2024.
The duo, made up of John Krause and his son, Dylan Krause, has been performing together for five years. Before the formation of The Journals 805, John Krause played in several bands. The group’s name originates from John’s personal journals, where he wrote many of their lyrics.
“It is one of the greatest pleasures to be able to bond over our music,” said John Krause.
The duo specializes in a mix of original music and cover songs, blending newer and older country and rock styles.
Upcoming performances include:
- Dec. 14 at Blast and Brew in Atascadero, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Dec. 18 at Pine Street Saloon in Paso Robles, from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.
- Dec. 20 at Wine on Main in Templeton, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Additionally, the duo hosts an open mic night every Monday at Pine Street Saloon in Paso Robles from 9 p.m. to midnight. The event is open to local musicians ages 21 and over.
The duo recently released a new song, “Heartache to Hiding,” described as country-style, which is available for streaming on all major platforms.
