Fire damages structure on Kiler Canyon Road
Emergency crews respond to early morning fire in Paso Robles
– A fire broke out early Sunday morning at 895 Kiler Canyon Road in Paso Robles, damaging a structure identified as an attached garage or workshop, according to multiple reports. The fire was first reported at approximately 5:30 a.m.
Emergency response units included eight fire engines, two water tenders, a firetruck, a medic unit, an investigator, and two battalion chiefs. Personnel from Cal Fire San Luis Obispo, the Paso Robles Fire Department, and the Atascadero Fire Department were dispatched to the scene.
The building, described as a three-garage warehouse used for equipment storage, was not occupied at the time, according to reports. While a nearby residence was exposed to the fire, Cal Fire SLO representatives confirmed that the threat to the residence was successfully mitigated.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
