Centennial Children’s Choir seeks young singers for spring performance program
Auditions to be held Jan. 8
– The Centennial Children’s Choir will audition boys and girls aged 6 to 16 on Jan. 8 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the Centennial Park Acorn Room.
The program teaches sight singing, vocal techniques, harmony, and choral performance, while giving participants the experience of singing together. Instructor Michelle Leavitt will lead the auditions in a low-pressure setting. Children do not need to prepare anything in advance.
Families should only register after completing a successful audition. Leavitt encourages children who previously joined the West Coast Creative Choir to skip the audition.
The choir runs from Jan. 15 through May 7 in the Centennial Park Acorn Room. Families unable to attend the Jan. 8 audition can email Leavitt at kmleavitt4@yahoo.com to arrange another time. The program offers a 50% sibling registration discount.
The choir will perform in May, and Leavitt will share performance details later in the season.
