Explore Tin City on guided tour this Saturday

Tour is designed for small groups and tailored for adults aged 21 and over

    – Toast Tours is introducing the first-ever Taste of Tin City walking tour this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The three-hour guided experience offers participants a chance to explore Tin City, an industrial hub near downtown Paso Robles known for its wineries, distilleries, and artisanal food producers while learning about the area’s origins and future.

Participants will visit multiple locations, starting at Giornata Winery, where they will taste natural, old-world-style wines focused on Italian varietals. Guests will learn about sustainable farming practices, winemaking techniques such as the use of amphorae, and the winery’s role as one of Tin City’s first establishments.

The tour continues at End of the Day Wines, where attendees will sample approachable wines crafted for everyday enjoyment. Winemaker Carl Bowker will share how his boutique label evolved alongside his work at Caliza Winery in Paso Robles.

A family-style lunch at Etto Pasta Bar will include pasta made on-site with high-quality organic ingredients, gourmet sandwiches, and seasonal salads. Vegetarian and non-vegetarian options will be available, along with still water. Additional beverages can be purchased during lunch. Guests will also have the opportunity to visit Etto Pastificio, Tin City’s Italian-style market and pasta factory, to view traditional pasta-making equipment and shop for specialty goods.

The final stop is Tin City Distillery and Wine Shine Distillery. Attendees will choose three samples from a lineup of premium small-batch spirits, including vodka, gin, bourbon, rye whiskey, and brandy, while learning about distillation processes.

The $120 ticket price includes samples at each location, lunch, and a guided experience with knowledgeable hosts. The tour is designed for small groups and tailored for adults aged 21 and over. Guests are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes, dress in layers for changing weather, and bring sunscreen.

Transportation to and from Tin City, as well as gratuities for the guide, are not included. Outside food or drinks, as well as pets, are not permitted on this public tour, with the exception of service animals.

Private tours are also available, offering customizable itineraries and the ability to bring guests under 21 or well-behaved dogs.
