– The Paso Robles Art Association is introducing a series of photography classes, beginning with a session on iPhone photography led by award-winning photographer Donna Cruciani. The class is scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 19, and will cover iPhone features such as live photo editing, cropping, enhancements, and filters.
“We will cover iPhone features including live photo editing, cropping, enhancements, and filters. There are many features on your phone to create great photos,” said Cruciani. The one-hour class requires participants to bring their iPhone or other smartphone.
Following the iPhone photography session, Cruciani will teach a one-hour class on starting an Instagram account. The session will guide participants through creating an account, posting photos, setting up a profile, and using Instagram’s features.
“A lot of us need to keep up on technology, and this is a great opportunity to learn in a short time,” said Gisele Thompson, social media director for the Paso Robles Art Association.
These classes are the first in a series presented by the organization’s Photography Guild. Upcoming sessions will feature Amy Myers, a professional photographer with 43 years of experience, offering instruction on lighting, portrait photography, wedding photography, and more.
The classes are open to the public. Members of the association receive discounted rates and additional benefits, including opportunities to exhibit and sell their art, participation in guilds for painters and pastel artists, and exhibit opening receptions.

Why is it called iPhone photography? It’s like saying let’s do Cannon photography or Nikon photography.
