City seeking applicants for planning commission, housing authority roles
– The City of Paso Robles is accepting applications for open positions on the Paso Robles Planning Commission and the Paso Robles Housing Authority Board of Commissioners. Residents interested in community development and housing initiatives are encouraged to apply.
Planning commission
The planning commission has two available positions. Members play a critical role in reviewing and approving conditional use permits, parcel maps, planned developments, site plans, subdivisions, and zoning variances.
Meetings are held on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the city hall conference center. Commissioners serve a three-year term, expiring Feb. 29, 2028, and dedicate approximately 15–20 hours monthly, including rotational assignments on the development review committee.
Housing authority
The housing authority oversees Oak Park public housing, a 148-unit complex that provides affordable housing for lower-income households in Paso Robles. Two tenant commissioner positions are open, and one of the appointees must be at least 62 years old.
Meetings take place on the second Tuesday of each month at 5 p.m. at 901 30th Street, Paso Robles. Commissioners serve a four-year term, expiring Feb. 28, 2029. Eligibility requires that applicants reside in the housing authority.
Application details
Applications for both roles are open until Jan. 31. Interested candidates can apply online through the city’s website. Interviews are tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 12, at 5 p.m. at city hall. All applicants should be available to attend in person.
