Course is open to residents 15 and older

    – The Paso Robles Community Emergency Response Team is offering a disaster preparedness course beginning March 3. The 20-hour training will cover disaster preparation, basic first aid, fire suppression, search and rescue, and the psychological effects of disasters. It will also include information on hazardous materials and terrorism response.

The course is open to residents 15 and older. The cost is $40 per person or family.

Emergency service personnel may not be able to reach everyone immediately in the event of a wildfire, earthquake, or flooding. The course is designed to help residents learn how to protect themselves, assist neighbors, and support their community during emergencies.
