Beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother
– Janette D. Hopper was born on May 24, 1930, in Vancouver, Washington. Surrounded by family and loved ones, she passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, Feb. 10, 2025, at the age of 94. Since 1981, Janette has been a long-time resident of Templeton, California where she worked as a Registered Nurse at Twin Cities Hospital before retiring at age 65. She enjoyed spending time with family, playing violin, reading novels, and cooking family recipes.
Janette was a mother to five children: Judith Oliver-Amesz, Victoria Oliver-Foote, Michael Oliver, John Oliver, and Peter Oliver. She also had eleven grandchildren: Melanie, Nicole, Pauline, and Stephanie van der Woude; James, Bryan, and Jennifer Wintering and David Pixley; Jaime Sellars and Ryan Oliver; and David Oliver.
She is preceded in death by her prior husbands William Hopper and James Oliver; her sisters Nyle Hallman and Miriam LeGare; her son Peter Oliver; and her grandsons Ryan Oliver and David Pixley. Janette is survived by her youngest sister Anni Beach; daughters Judith and Victoria; sons Michael and John; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Janette lived a full, long life and will be very missed by all who knew her.
