Winery will host special event on March 15 at its tasting room
– Midnight Cellars, a family-owned winery in Paso Robles, is marking 30 years in business. Founded in 1995 by the Hartenberger family, the winery has grown from the ground up while maintaining its focus on winemaking and vineyard management.
Second-generation owner and Director of Winemaking Rich Hartenberger said the journey has required long hours and a commitment to quality.
“Winemaking isn’t just about the finished bottle – it’s about the labor, the land, and the decisions you make every single day,” Hartenberger said. “It’s pruning in the winter, walking the vineyard in the summer heat, making the call on when to pick. It’s being covered in grape skins at 2 a.m., exhausted but pushing through because you know the work you put in now is what makes the wine worth drinking later. Midnight Cellars was never a vanity project. It was, and still is, about getting our hands dirty, making honest wines, and building something that lasts.”
Midnight Cellars has remained a family business and continues to focus on Paso Robles’ ability to produce bold wines. The winery has expanded over the years while staying true to its roots.
To celebrate its anniversary, Midnight Cellars will host an event on March 15 at its tasting room at 2925 Anderson Road. The event will run from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. and will include live music, wine, and the return of Carson’s Chicago-style rib night. Tickets cost $30 for wine club members and $50 for non-members. They can be purchased at www.midnightcellars.com/Shop/Event-Tickets.
Midnight Cellars’ tasting room is open daily from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
