Airport adds nonstop flights to Portland, Alaska Airlines to end direct Las Vegas flight in April

    – San Luis Obispo County Airport will see several changes to air service in the coming months, including the return of a nonstop route and an aircraft upgrade on a major flight.

On March 19, Alaska Airlines will resume daily nonstop service to Portland, restoring a key connection for business and leisure travelers to the Pacific Northwest.

Alaska Airlines will also conclude its seasonal daily direct flight to Las Vegas on April 21. Passengers traveling to Las Vegas after that date will need to use connecting flights available at the airport.

American Airlines will transition its daily direct flight to Dallas/Fort Worth from an Airbus A319 to a Boeing 737-800 on May 5. The change will increase seat capacity from 124 to 162, adding 38 more available seats per flight.

“We are thrilled to welcome back nonstop service to Portland, accommodate growing demand for Dallas/Fort Worth, and continue working with our airline partners to optimize air travel options for our region,” said Courtney Johnson, director of airports. “These changes reflect San Luis Obispo County Airport’s ongoing commitment to providing enhanced connectivity and convenience for our passengers.”
