Public invited to planning commission workshop on home business regulations
Planning commission will host a discussion at the workshop about potential improvements based on community input
– The public is invited to attend a workshop to discuss home business regulations in Paso Robles. The workshop will take place during the Paso Robles Planning Commission meeting on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber, located at 1000 Spring Street.
Home business regulations govern the types of businesses that can operate from residential properties and set standards to ensure that home businesses do not detract from the residential character of neighborhoods. Current home business standards can be found in Paso Robles Municipal Code Chapter 21.21 (Home Occupation Permits).
City staff is not recommending any changes to the current regulations. The planning commission will host a discussion at the workshop about potential improvements based on community input. Members of the public will have the opportunity to provide feedback during the meeting.
Residents who cannot attend in person can livestream the meeting at www.prcity.com/youtube. Public comments can be made live via telephone by calling (805) 865-7276. The phone line will open just before the meeting starts.
Written public comments can be submitted via email to planning@prcity.com or mailed to the Community Development Department at 1000 Spring Street, Paso Robles, CA 93446. Comments submitted by 12 p.m. on the day of the meeting will be included as an addendum to the agenda.
