Classes teach photography skills, social media basics
– The Paso Robles Art Association will offer a repeat of its popular iPhone photography class on Saturday, April 26, with award-winning photographer Donna Cruciani. The class, which is part of a continuing series by members of the association, will focus on how to take high-quality photos using an iPhone or other smartphone.
“There are so many features on our phones for live photo editing, cropping, enhancements, and filters that I never knew about,” said Kristene Thompson, president of the Paso Robles Art Association.
The one-hour class will give participants hands-on experience with various photo features available on smartphones. Participants are encouraged to bring their iPhones or other smart devices to the class.
In addition, Cruciani will host an expanded two-hour class on how to get started with Instagram. The class will cover topics such as creating an account, making posts with photos and profiles, and using Instagram’s many features. “Instagram isn’t always easy to get started with, and this is a great opportunity to learn in a short time,” said Daisy Witcosky, an art association member.
Both classes are open to the public, and Paso Robles Art Association members will receive a discount. Members also have access to additional benefits such as exhibiting and selling their artwork, participating in guilds, and attending receptions for exhibit openings.
