City of Paso Robles offers spring break camps for local children
Recreation Services will offer three camps for ages 6 and up
– Paso Robles Recreation Services will offer three youth camps during spring break, April 21 through 25, for children ages 6 and older. The camps will focus on science, basketball, and soccer and take place at locations throughout the city.
Tim Baker will lead the Electric Avenue Science Camp at Centennial Park, located at 600 Nickerson Drive. The camp, for ages 6 to 11, introduces campers to electricity and magnetism through hands-on activities. Participants will build Play-Doh circuits, electromagnets, and motors, and take their creations home. The camp runs Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon. The registration fee is $199 and includes materials. A $20 sibling discount and scholarship opportunities are available.
Also held at Centennial Park, the Youth Evolution Basketball Camp will meet in the gym. Designed for children ages 6 to 11, the camp focuses on athletic skill, teamwork, and confidence-building. Each day includes a “skill of the day” followed by drills in dribbling, passing, and shooting. The camp meets from 9 a.m. to noon. Registration costs $169, with a $10 sibling discount.
The Youth Evolution Soccer Camp will take place at Barney Schwartz Park on softball field 2. Open to ages 6 to 12, the camp will offer drills, teamwork challenges, and gameplay.
