    – Acclaimed screenwriter, director, and producer, Rob Edwards, will deliver the closing keynote at the 41st Annual Cuesta College Central Coast Writers’ Conference (CCWC), organizers announced Wednesday.

Edwards, known for Disney’s ‘The Princess and the Frog’ and ‘Treasure Planet’ (both Academy Award-nominated), and Marvel’s ‘Captain America: Brave New World,’ will share career insights with his signature humor. He is also an Emmy-winning writer/producer with credits including ‘Full House,’ ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,’ and ‘In Living Color.’

“We are elated to have Rob Edwards return to the conference as our Closing Keynote Speaker,” said Meagan Friberg, event director. “He has a great sense of humor, and having him share about his successful writing career in Hollywood will be an invaluable addition to this year’s conference.”

Edwards enjoys visiting the Central Coast and is looking forward to returning to CCWC for a third time to share his passion for teaching. He will also be leading a master class on screenwriting.

“I love teaching. My mom was a teacher, so she always says, learn how to do something well and then teach other people how to do it,” said Edwards.

This month, Edwards’ screenwriting credits grew by two with the release of ‘The King of Kings’ (top opening for an animated faith-based film) and ‘Sneaks’ (animated film with Anthony Mackie, Chloe Bailey, Martin Lawrence, and Lawrence Fishburne). Edwards also co-directed ‘Sneaks.’ He also has a novel in progress.

CCWC will also feature Brooke Warner, publisher, author and motivational writing coach, as the Opening Keynote Speaker, and 40-plus presenters across numerous genres. In addition, master classes and pitch/critique sessions will be available for a separate fee, and a teen program has been added to the schedule.

Super early bird registration ($200) ends April 30, then increases to $250 until July 10th. Registration details at: CentralCoastWritersConference.com. Scholarships are available on a limited basis. The Central Coast Writers’ Conference is brought to you by Cuesta Community College, Kindle Direct Publishing, and the Rotary Passport Club of the Central Coast.
