Booker Vineyard celebrates Earth Day with educational vineyard walks
Learn about regenerative organic farming during April 22-27 events
– Booker Vineyard will offer free educational vineyard walks and a documentary screening during Earth Day week at its regenerative organic estate in the Willow Creek District of Paso Robles. The public is invited to attend daily walks from April 22 to April 27, as well as a special screening event on April 22.
“We want to bring Earth Day to life for our guests and give them hands-on insights into the exciting world of regenerative organic farming,” said Brand Manager Chelsea Sprague. “The invitation is open to visitors and our local community alike to come see what it’s all about.”
Booker Vineyard received certification from California Certified Organic Farmers in 2021. In 2023, the vineyard earned a Regenerative Organic Certified designation, which recognizes standards in soil health and farmworker fairness.
The vineyard walks will be led by members of Booker’s vineyard team and will highlight regenerative farming practices, including cover cropping, carbon sequestration, no-till methods, and sheep grazing.
On April 22, Booker Vineyard will host a screening of Common Ground, a documentary focused on regenerative organic agriculture. The event will include tastings of Booker wines and light organic food provided by Chef Gregg of Kelleco Catering. The screening will take place at the vineyard’s tasting room, which overlooks the Willow Creek District.
There is no charge to attend the walks or screening, but space is limited. RSVPs are available through the Booker events page and the winery’s reservation platform.
“We always say that our wines start in the vineyard, so what better way to celebrate Earth Day than bringing it to life for our guests with new experiences that center around regenerative organic farming,” Sprague said.
