School officials urge families to discuss online responsibility with students

    – Staff at Paso Robles High School notified the school’s resource officer with the Paso Robles Police Department of an online comment that raised concerns at approximately 11 a.m. on Monday.

Police determined the threat was not credible, and all students and staff are safe.

Officials stated the incident presents an opportunity for parents and guardians to talk with students about responsible use of gaming chats and social media, and to remind them that online actions and words have consequences.

Paso Robles Joint Unified School District emphasized that it works closely with local law enforcement to maintain a safe environment on campus. Officials also assured families that in the event of a real concern, the district would issue immediate and accurate notifications.
