Memorial service honors Wolf family at Estrella Adobe Church
Community honors Wolf family during annual church memorial service
– An annual memorial service at Estrella Adobe Church will take place on Sunday, May 25 at 2 p.m. The event will be held at 5660 Airport Road in Paso Robles.
This year’s service will honor the Wolf family, who arrived in northern San Luis Obispo County between 1884 and 1886. Adalbert Wolf and his son Gus came to the area in 1884 and began developing the 160 acres they homesteaded. In 1886, the rest of the family joined them.
Steve Kalar, a descendant of the Wolf family, will serve as the emcee and share stories and memories from the family’s history. Pastor Romero of the First Mennonite Church of Paso Robles will deliver the invocation and message. The Mennonite congregation held services at Estrella Adobe Church from 1898 to 1903.
The service will include hymn singing, and refreshments will be served by the Paso Robles Quester Chapter. For more information, email p.v.e.cemeterydistrict@gmail.com.
