Firefighters contain Eagle Fire near Geneseo Road in Paso Robles

Cause of the fire remains under investigation
– Firefighters contained a small wildland fire on Friday near the 3700 block of Geneseo Road in rural Paso Robles.
The fire, known as the Eagle Fire, burned approximately 1 to 2 acres. According to fire officials, it was moving uphill with a slow rate of spread when crews from the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection responded.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Firefighters contained the blaze by around 5:30 p.m.
FINAL UPDATE: #EagleFire is 100% contained and controlled at 1.59 acres.
