    New rabbi joins SLO County Sheriff’s Office chaplain team

    Gordon founded Chabad of Paso Robles in 2021

    – The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office has announced the addition of Rabbi Meir Gordon to its chaplain team.

    Rabbi Gordon was born in London and received his rabbinic education in Israel and on the East Coast of the United States. He was ordained in 2014 and has since served and volunteered in communities across the United States, Europe, and Asia.

    In 2021, Rabbi Gordon founded Chabad of Paso Robles, a local Jewish community center. He completed chaplaincy training with the United States Chaplains Corps in 2022 and currently volunteers at Twin Cities Community Hospital.

    The Sheriff’s Office stated that Rabbi Gordon will provide spiritual care, crisis support, and work to foster community connection as part of the chaplain team.
