Fundraiser launched for Paso Robles chef after house fire
As of Wednesday morning, the fundraiser has brought in $8,525
– A fundraiser is underway to support a chef at Cass Winery in Paso Robles who lost his home in a recent electrical fire, according to a GoFundMe page created on his behalf.
Chef Charlie of Cass Winery was displaced after the fire destroyed his residence, although he was able to escape the blaze with his two dogs. The fundraising page states that he did not have fire insurance, which has made recovery efforts more difficult.
“The devastation has followed suit with the reality that Chef Charlie was without fire insurance, like so many Californians. So, his recuperation from the loss has been made even more painful. Spending the first week following the fire on the vineyard in our hotel and Airbnb, now Charlie is looking for permanent residence for both himself and his furry pals,” the GoFundMe page reads.
As of Wednesday morning, the fundraiser has brought in $8,525 towards a $12,000 goal.
The fundraiser is accepting donations online. The full GoFundMe can be accessed at:
