    – The Paso Robles Joint Unified School District has appointed Brandon Duncan as the new principal of Lewis Flamson Junior High School. He will begin the role at the start of the 2025-2026 school year.

Duncan brings more than 24 years of experience in education. He most recently served as principal of McKee Middle School in Bakersfield, where he held the position since 2016. During his tenure, McKee Middle School experienced growth in student achievement, school climate, and instructional quality. His responsibilities included curriculum development, instructional practices and school operations.

Duncan has also worked in higher education as a professor at Taft College and California State University, Bakersfield, where he contributed to the development of future educators and school leaders.

“I am honored and excited to join the Paso Robles community,” Duncan said. “Lewis Flamson Junior High has a proud tradition of academic excellence and student-centered learning, and I look forward to working alongside the dedicated staff, students, and families to build on that legacy.”

Duncan will relocate to Paso Robles with his family. His wife is a teacher, his son attends California State University, Long Beach, and his daughter will attend Paso Robles High School.

The district stated it is confident in Duncan’s leadership as Lewis Flamson Junior High prepares for the upcoming school year.
