Christian Vonlumbe Weber

– Prior to passing, Christian resided in San Andreas, Calaveras County since 2017. He was born in Chicago, Illinois and came to California before his first birthday. He attended school in Templeton and Paso Robles and graduated from San Luis Obispo High School in 1962.
He joined the Air Force and served for six years. After Military service he worked for Western Airlines Flight Service in Los Angeles, and later became an Air Controller for the F.A.A. He was well known and appreciated for his weather reports given to pilots in one of his comic foreign dialects even though frowned upon by his superiors. He worked at airports from Los Angeles to Point Barrow Alaska. In 2011 Christian retired from the Catalina Island Conservancy where he managed the Islands airport.
Christian was a pilot, loved music, played the tuba, sang baritone in numerous choirs, and was a consummate joke teller. He is survived by his brother, Roark Weber (Elizabeth), sister, Patience West and granddaughter Aspen Kaylee Dexter who attends college in Berlin Germany.
