Mid-State Fair releases Frontier Stage lineup
Entertainment schedule begins on July 16 with the Miss California Mid-State Fair Scholarship Pageant
– The California Mid-State Fair released its lineup of performers for the 805 Beer Frontier Stage. All shows begin at 8 p.m. and are free with paid admission to the fair.
The entertainment schedule begins on July 16 with the Miss California Mid-State Fair Scholarship Pageant at 6 p.m. The pageant, sponsored by Cattaneo Brothers and Boot Barn, includes interviews, evening wear and talent segments. Scholarships are awarded, and the winner represents the fair throughout the year.
On July 17, Stephen Pearcy, founder, lead singer and songwriter of the rock band RATT, will perform. Pearcy’s career includes hits like “Round and Round,” “Lay It Down,” “Back for More” and “Wanted Man.”
Peter Noone and Herman’s Hermits will take the stage on July 18. Noone, who rose to fame at 15, has led the band to success with songs like “I’m Into Something Good,” “Mrs. Brown, You’ve Got a Lovely Daughter,” “I’m Henry VIII, I Am,” “Can’t You Hear My Heartbeat” and “There’s a Kind of Hush.”
Mariachi Los Camperos will perform on July 19. Founded by Nati Cano in 1961, the group has collaborated with Linda Ronstadt and appeared in major films. Led by Jesús “Chuy” Guzmán, the group has multiple Grammy-winning albums.
Mason Ramsey, known for a viral Walmart performance and his single “Blue Over You,” will perform on July 20. Ramsey has earned more than 450 million streams and recently completed his Monster Outbreak Tour.
Waylon Wyatt, an 18-year-old folk and country artist from Hackett, Arkansas, will perform on July 21. Wyatt’s debut EP, “Til The Sun Goes Down,” has earned over 100 million streams.
Jordan Feliz will perform on July 22. Feliz, a Dove Award winner, released the Gold-certified single “The River,” which spent 10 weeks at number one on Billboard’s NCA Chart.
The Docksiders, a Las Vegas-based Yacht Rock tribute band led by Kevin Sucher, will perform on July 23. The band covers soft rock hits from the 1970s and 1980s and has performed nationwide.
Black Violin will take the stage on July 24. The duo, Kev Marcus and Wil Baptiste, combines classical music with hip-hop beats. They have performed at The Kennedy Center and have two Grammy nominations.
On July 25, Taylor Shines Laser Spectacular will celebrate the music career of Taylor Swift. The family-friendly event includes a laser display, large-screen video projection and a live performance by Jexxa.
Kylie Morgan will perform on July 26. Morgan, known for her song “If He Wanted To He Would,” has earned more than 400 million streams and recently released her debut album “Making It Up As I Go.”
Regulo Caro will close the Frontier Stage entertainment on July 27. Caro blends influences from Sinaloa’s country music with various forms of rock.
The California Mid-State Fair runs from July 16 through July 27. Gates open Monday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to midnight and Friday through Sunday from noon to midnight.
San Luis Obispo County residents can purchase discounted season passes and daily admission tickets online until midnight on July 15 and at Farm Supply in June. Discounted carnival wristbands are available through local nonprofit organizations. A ValPak coupon, arriving in July, offers a savings package that includes two corndogs, two lemonades and admission for two. Another coupon for a Philly cheesesteak, cheese curds and two soft drinks will be available on the fair’s website in July.
