Five Paso Robles High School athletes commit to college athletics

High school celebrates students’ next steps in college athletics
– Paso Robles High School hosted College Signing Day on May 20 at 4 p.m. in Gil Asa Gym to honor five student-athletes who have committed to continuing their athletic and academic careers at the collegiate level.

The event recognized Tyler Daillak, who will compete in Division I cross country and track and field at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo; Park Craig, who will play football at California Lutheran University; Denisse De La Cruz Lopez, who will join the wrestling team at Missouri Valley College; Garrett Haggmark, who will swim at Division I Seattle University; and Ezra Smeltzer, who will play water polo and swim at Cuesta College.

“We are incredibly proud of these student-athletes and the commitment they have shown to both their academic and athletic goals,” said Michael Sauret, athletic director at Paso Robles High School. “Their success reflects the strength of our school community and the dedication of everyone who has supported them along the way.”

The student-athletes will also be recognized at the Paso Robles Joint Unified School District Board Meeting on June 10 at 6 p.m. The community is invited to attend in celebration of the students’ achievements.
