AIDS/Lifecycle ride travels through SLO countySmall town sees end of 30-year-long fundraising bike ride

    – The AIDS/LifeCycle, a seven-day, 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles, made its final stop in Bradley this week after more than 30 years, according to a report by KSBY. The ride, which raises awareness about the HIV and AIDS epidemic, has raised more than $300 million to support the work of the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center.

This year, 2,500 cyclists and 800 volunteers, known as roadies, are participating in the final ride. They stopped in Bradley, a small town on the outskirts of Monterey County that holds a special place for the group.

AIDS/LifeCycle has fundraised thousands of dollars for the Bradley School over the years, supporting after-school programs, field trips and science camps.
