Paso Robles native earns doctorate from The Rockefeller University

– Mason Hargrave, a 2015 graduate of Paso Robles High School, has earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree from The Rockefeller University in New York City.

Hargrave’s doctoral research focused on benchmarking reinforcement learning and off-policy evaluation for medical decision making. His work contributed to advancements in the use of artificial intelligence in healthcare.

Before beginning his doctoral studies, Hargrave completed a double major in mathematics and physics at the University of California, Santa Cruz.

He is currently employed by the Boston Consulting Group and lives in Manhattan, New York, where he continues working on solutions at the intersection of science, technology and strategy.
