New ‘line dance boot camp’ to be offered at Centennial Park
Classes designed for beginners with step-by-step instruction
– A new line dance boot camp for adults will be offered on two Saturdays, Aug. 23 and Aug. 30, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Centennial Grand Oak A and Centennial Grand Oak B at Centennial Park.
The class is designed for students new to line dancing. Instructor Tina Scarsella will review basic footwork used in the Tuesday night line dance party. The footwork includes grapevine, shuffles, weaves, rocking chair, coaster step, mambo step, swivels, Charleston, Monterey, rumba box, pivot turns, and more. The music will be slowed down to help students practice and learn the steps.
The class is for ages 18 and older. Younger dancers may attend if accompanied by an adult.
