Il Cortile, Parchetto earn 2025 Wine Spectator award
Awards appear in Wine Spectator’s Aug. 31 issue
– Il Cortile Ristorante and Parchetto have received Wine Spectator’s 2025 Award of Excellence, recognizing their wine programs in Paso Robles.
Il Cortile has now earned the award for 11 consecutive years, having first received the honor in 2014. Parchetto, which opened in July 2024, received the award in its first year of eligibility.
“Receiving this recognition year after year at Il Cortile is deeply rewarding and having Parchetto join those ranks in year one is incredibly special,” said sommelier and co-owner Carole MacDonal, who curates the wine program alongside her husband, chef Santos MacDonal. “We’re committed to showcasing thoughtful, balanced wine lists that celebrate both Paso’s world-class producers and iconic international selections, all designed to pair beautifully with our menus.”
The 2025 award recipients will appear in Wine Spectator’s Aug. 31 issue, available on newsstands beginning July 15. The Award of Excellence is given to restaurants whose wine lists offer interesting selections, are appropriate to their cuisine, and appeal to a wide range of wine lovers.
Four Paso Robles restaurants received the award in 2025: Il Cortile, Parchetto, Les Petites Canailles, and The Pony Club at Hotel Cheval.
