Service outage affected 405 landlines starting at 10:58 a.m.

    – The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office announced that AT&T restored landline phone service Tuesday evening to approximately 405 customers in Oak Shores, Bradley and Lake Nacimiento. The outage began at approximately 10:58 a.m. on July 15 and was resolved shortly after 5 p.m.

The affected landlines were those with numbers beginning with 805-472. During the outage, residents were unable to make or receive calls outside of their local exchange, including calls to 911 and the Sheriff’s Office non-emergency dispatch line. Calls within the 805-472 exchange remained functional, and cellphone service was not affected.

AT&T confirmed that full service was restored. The Sheriff’s Office thanked the public for their patience and encouraged residents to resume using landlines as normal. Anyone still experiencing phone issues should contact their phone service provider.

Earlier in the day, the Sheriff’s Office advised residents to use cellphones for emergency calls and to check on neighbors who might not have mobile access.

The outage affected landline users only in the Oak Shores, Bradley, and Lake Nacimiento areas.
