Sheriff’s Office visits South County homeless coalition housing sites

    – The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office CalAIM Pre-Release Care Management Team visited two supportive housing sites operated by 5Cities Homeless Coalition last week: Cabins for Change and Balay Ko on Barca.

The CalAIM team works with individuals in custody to prepare for their release by connecting them with care, housing, and services before they leave jail.

“These cabins represent more than shelter—they’re a fresh start for people rebuilding their lives,” the Sheriff’s Office stated.

The Sheriff’s Office acknowledged 5Cities Homeless Coalition as a partner in the initiative.

“We’re grateful to our partners at 5Cities Homeless Coalition for their incredible work,” the Sheriff’s Office stated. “Together, we’re building real pathways to stability and dignity.”
