City to host open house for Niblick Road project
Project will move into the construction phase to improve safety and accessibility along Niblick Road
– The City of Paso Robles will hold a community open house on Aug. 13 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the City Council Chamber to present the final design plans for the Niblick Road Corridor Improvement Project.
The project, supported by a $17 million Active Transportation Program grant, will move into the construction phase to improve safety and accessibility along Niblick Road. Planned enhancements include new bike and pedestrian pathways, traffic calming measures, artistic and landscaping elements, improved lighting and a raised multi-use path to separate pedestrian and bike traffic from vehicles.
The plans were developed after extensive community input beginning in 2018, including open houses, a design charette and field observations by Paso Robles High School students and corridor users.
Residents attending the open house can view detailed design plans, discuss project specifics with city staff and provide final input.
