    Earthquake shakes area north of San Simeon Thursday morning

    – A magnitude 3.6 earthquake was recorded Thursday morning 22 kilometers north-northwest of San Simeon, according to the United States Geological Survey.

    The quake occurred at 6:41 a.m. at a depth of 8.3 kilometers. The epicenter was located at 35.815° N, 121.320° W.
